A new CPD presentation on Passivhaus design principles has been released for Australian architects to attend in-house in the luxury of their offices.

Changes in the building code now highlight the impacts of thermal bridging on overall thermal performance of buildings.

Continuous insulation has always been available to provide a solution to better design principles, and it is evident that it can also satisfy a number of performance requirements within the NCC. Its contribution to airtightness, indoor air quality and long term operational performance can now compliment Passivhaus design principles.

Steve Huxham of ASKIN Performance Panels states “This presentation highlights the benefits that continuous insulation can offer for compliance with the NCC and to understand the actual long term operational efficiencies”
